The Ellis County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's aid to generate new leads in an unsolved fatal 2016 hit-and-run accident.
Between 8:30 and 10 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016, 22-year-old Dylan Weiser was struck by an unknown vehicle. The driver failed to render aid or notify first responders, the sheriff's office said in a news release Thursday. The incident occurred in the 700 block of 240th Avenue, 5 miles south of Hays— 240th becomes Main Street at city limits.
Weiser — a Thornton, Colo., resident formerly of La Crosse — was wearing a black T-shirt, khaki shorts and black tennis shoes at the time of the incident.
