William 'Billy' E. Romo

William “Billy” E. Romo, 60, passed away February 27, 2021, at The University of Kansas Health Systems, Hays Medical Campus, Hays, Kansas.

He was born May 6, 1960, in Great Bend; the son of Tranquilino and Ruth Dringman Romo.  A resident of Burdett since 2006 moving from Spokane, Washington; he was an Independent Truck Driver.

On March 20, 2006, he married Monique Whetstone in Great Bend, Kansas.  She survives.

Other survivors include; four sons, Michael Romo, Jimmy King, both of Burdett, Mike ( Diana) Romo and Scott Romo, both of Arizona; two daughters, Stephanie King, Larned and Dana (Michael) Herman, Mobile, Alabama; six brothers, Michael (Phyllis) Romo, Great Bend,, Lee Basgall, Dale Basgall, Don (Terrie) Keesler, all of Larned; Brian Johnson, and T (Kimberly) Romo, Idaho; three sisters, La Veta (Dana) Darbro, Americus, Leslei (Ray) Lang, and Tomi Romo-Love both of  Fallon, Nevada;  eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by; a brother, Frank Keesler and a sister Roberta Lauer.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
