Michael Allen Leiker, 35, Hays, died Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at HaysMed.
He was born March 3, 1987, in Hays, the son of Michelle Leiker. He was a graduate of Dodge City High School, volunteered at The Arc of Central Plains Thrift Shop, and was a member of CrossPoint Church. He enjoyed taking walks, listening to music, drawing, coloring, and painting rocks. Michael had a wonderful smile, a gift for making people happy, and possessed a special relationship with God. He loved his family who considered his life to be a true miracle.
Survivors include his mother Michelle Jarmer of Hays, two brothers: Cody Jarmer and Derrick Jarmer, both of Ness City, two aunts: Jacqueline Lang and husband Randy of Hays and Laura Geschwentner and husband Jeff of Ellis, two nephews: Lake and Landon Jarmer, and a niece: MaKenna Jarmer.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Bryce Jarmer, great grandparents: Everett and Rose Urban, and his friend: Robert Long.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at CrossPoint Church, with Pastor Micah Sanderson officiating. Visitation will be from 9:00 am until service time at the church.
