The K-State Ag Research Center reported .78 inches of rain as of 8 this morning.
Hays has received 2.54 inches of rain for the month and 16.32 inches year to date. This is compared to a 3.01-inch average for August and a 17.70-inch average by the end of August.
Rain is supposed to subside by noon today with a high of 70.
Tuesday's forecast calls for a high of 78, mostly sunny with chances of rain returning Tuesday night, Wednesday and Wednesday night.
Thursday and Friday are forecast to be cloudy and unseasonably cool with highs in the mid-70s.
