Markus Robert Loney, Plainville, KS, passed away all too soon on
December 31, 2021, in Plainville, at the young age of 26. He was born on
August 11, 1995, to Douglas and Malynda (Adam) Loney in Rogers,
Arkansas.
Shortly after Markus was born, the family relocated to Plainville
where he spent the vast majority of his life. Those that know Markus,
know he had autism. This never stopped Markus; he attended Plainville
High School and graduated with honors in 2014. He was also a part of the
Larks Special Olympics. Markus’s favorite place to be was the Topeka
Zoo, and a close second was any car ride with his Grandpa Ken. He loved
being with his family and was always excited to go on a family vacation
or do any family activity. He had many interests, some of which included
sports like the Chiefs and Royals, playing Super Mario, and celebrating
EVERY holiday. He was always so excited to celebrate something -
especially his birthday. Markus was very proud of his rare coin and
money collection, although as much as he loved collecting them, any time
he saw a donation box of any kind he was trying to fill it with
whatever money he had with him!
Markus was a funny, kind, and selfless person. He brought a positive
light and awareness to autism, showing us that you could always live
your life to the fullest, celebrate every day, and love one another
selflessly.
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Malynda Loney of Plainville,
KS; siblings, Christopher Loney of Plainville, KS, and MaKayla Loney
(Kobe Spiess) of Plainville, KS; grandparents, Ken Adam of Plainville,
KS, Ellen Loney of Apache Junction, AZ; and many aunts, uncles, cousins,
and friends.
Markus joins in his heavenly home, his grandmother, Susan (Wells) Adam; grandfather, Robert R. Loney; and uncle, John Adam.
Services are pending.
Memorials are suggested to a place that Markus donated to as much as
he could, whenever he could, the Gage Park Topeka Zoo. Memorials may be
sent in care of Plumer-Overlease Funeral Home, 320 SW 2nd St.,
Plainville, KS 67663.
