The Kansas Department of Transportation will begin work on a pair of bridge repair projects along eastbound I-70 in Trego County starting Monday, June 3.
Project work will include milling, patching and resurfacing the bridge decks on the structures located approximately 5 miles east of WaKeeney and 4.3 miles east of Ogallah. Lane closures will be in effect through the work zones, with speeds reduced to 60 mph. KDOT reminds motorists to slow down and stay alert for construction equipment and crews when traveling through the work zones.
Project work is expected to be complete in early October, conditions permitting.
PbX Corp. of Salpulpa, Okla., is the primary contractor for the $707,000 project. For more information, contact KDOT Area Construction Engineer Mitchel Johnson at 785-261-6132 or [email protected].
