The Downtown Hays Market, powered by The Bricks in Downtown Hays, returns for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 23, welcoming the community back for another year of local shopping, fresh finds, and Saturday morning tradition.
The market takes place every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. under the Pavilion at 10th and Main and in the adjacent parking lot. The season will continue through October 17, rain or shine.
The Downtown Hays Market brings together growers, bakers, makers, artists, and small businesses from across the region, creating a vibrant and welcoming place for residents and visitors to gather in the heart of Downtown Hays. Shoppers can expect fresh produce, baked goods, handmade items, specialty products, and more throughout the season.
Opening Day will feature giveaways, drawings, and some familiar favorites, including Market Bucks, new Downtown Hays Market merchandise, and free coffee while supplies last.
“I’m really excited for the upcoming farmers’ market season, especially as I step into my job as market manager for The Bricks in Downtown Hays,” said Hannah Giess, market manager.
“I’m looking forward to meeting vendors, supporting small businesses, and helping build a welcoming community space where people can gather, shop, and enjoy all that our market offers. I’m excited to bring fresh energy and strong organizational skills to the market while maintaining the existing successful elements. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of something that gives back to our community and also brings so many people together in a meaningful way,” Giess said.
The Downtown Hays Market is one of the many ways The Bricks works to support small businesses, create community experiences, and strengthen the vibrancy of downtown. By connecting shoppers directly with local vendors, the market helps support entrepreneurship while giving people another reason to spend time on The Bricks.
