Xavier James Juenemann, 22, Hays, died Saturday, August 16, 2025 at his home.
He was born May 14, 2003 in Hays, the son of David J. and Mindy (Staab) Juenemann. Xavier worked at Best Western and most recently at Hess Services. He liked go-carts and motorcycles, playing video games, going to the lake and especially liked animals. He enjoyed driving around listening to music and he taught himself to be a talented rapper. Most of all, he was a good father who deeply loved his daughter.
Survivors include his father David Juenemann of Victoria, mother Mindy Juenemann of Hays, girlfriend Kayleigh Rodriguez of Hays, his daughter Kamara Juenemann of Hays, grandmother Belinda Staab of Wilson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James Staab and James and Eileen Juenemann.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church with Fr. Damian Richards officiating. Burial will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Hays. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 on Wednesday and from 9:00 am until 9:45 on Thursday, all at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home. A vigil service will be at 6:30 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Mindy Juenemann for Xavier’s daughter Kamara.
