Darlene Kay Agan, 83, of Oberlin, Kansas passed away May 1, 2021 at the 
Good Samaritan Society of Decatur County. She was born October 23, 1937 
in Rural Thomas County, Kansas to Oscar and Severina (Johnson) Nelson. 
 Darlene grew up on the family farm five miles North of Winona, KS. 
She attended grade and high school in Page, KS. Darlene married Dennis 
Agan on December 19, 1956 in Colby, KS. She was a life-long resident of 
Western Kansas. Darlene loved Swedish Weaving. 
 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis in 2016; 
brothers, Larry, Virgil, Wayne, Alvin, Claude, Don, and Leo Nelson; 
sisters, LaVerna Schertz, Louanna Meadows and Nelda Dinning, and 
grandson, Teagan Gish.

Darlene is survived by her sons, Dan Agan of 
Oberlin, KS, Daren (Char) Agan of Oberlin, KS, and Dustin (Laura) Agan 
of McCook, NE; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
