🏀 Tiger women ranked eighth in latest media poll

OKLAHOMA CITY - The Fort Hays State women's basketball team was ranked eighth in the latest installment of the D2SIDA Media Poll, released Tuesday.

The Tigers are the top-ranked team from the Central Region in this week's media poll. FHSU is joined by regional rivals No. 9 Nebraska-Kearney, No. 13 Minnesota Duluth and No. 22 Central Missouri. The south region has the most teams listed in this week's media poll with five.

Fort Hays State, ranked 10th in the latest WBCA Coaches Poll, will begin play the top overall seed in the 2021 NCAA Division II Central Region Championships Saturday (March 13) in Warrensburg, Mo. The Tigers will battle either No. 22 Central Missouri, the No. 4 seed, or fifth-seeded St. Cloud State in the regional semifinals beginning at 5 p.m.
