SCOTT COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just before 5:30p.m. Wednesday in Scott County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy Silverado driven by Bryce C. Mohler, 16, Scott, City, was westbound on 12th Street and failed to yield at the Stop sign at Main Street in Scott City.
A 2007 Harley Davidson driven by Zachary L. Sandefur, 27, Scott City, was southbound on Main Street in the outside lane of travel beside a pick up truck in the inside lane.
The motorcycle struck the Silverado on the passenger side near the rear door. After impact the Silverado struck a 2018 Ford F150 driven by Julie A. Niehage, 38, Scott City, who was stopped at a Stop sign.
EMS transported Sandefur and Mohler to the Scott County Hospital. Miehage was not injured. Mohler was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP. The KHP did not have information on whether Sandefur was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
