The Kansas Lions Multiple District 17 exemplifies its unwavering commitment to community service through the dedicated efforts of volunteers like 1st Vice Governor Elect Jeremy Skrdlant, DGE Lou Morgan and Past District Governor Tom Baumann. Their recent initiative in Grinnell and Plevna where they distributed essential items to those in need highlights the profound impact of the ALERT Trailer initiative.
This initiative not only empowers local clubs to address pressing community challenges but also fosters a sense of solidarity among Lions members. The successful distribution of items in Grinnell and Plevna showcases the effective leadership and strategic planning that Kansas Lions encourages among its club leaders.
Club members are still welcome to go to Grinnell and help with the cleanup , however the trailer is no longer at Grinnell because the residents feel they have enough materials. Now they need helping hands with clean up. If you want to go to Grinnell please make sure to take gloves and rakes and shovels to help clean up storm debris.
Clubs that would like to help the Grinnell Community should contact PDG Tom Baumann at
785-871-1971 to schedule so we are not tripping over each other.
First Vice District Governor Lou Morgan continues to collaborate with fellow Lions in Plevna to showcase the Kansas Lions ALERT Trailer. The Mayor's awe at the abundance of resources available for the community serves as a testament to the Lions' commitment to service and the positive impact they are making. This morning, Lou's dedication was recognized as he was interviewed by two TV stations, KAKE and KSN, which are set to highlight the Kansas Lions' efforts to uplift others through their generous outreach. With the stories anticipated to air tonight, the visibility of the Lions' mission is sure to inspire pride among members and the community
alike. Lou will continue to be a beacon of hope and support at the trailer until Thursday night.
He inviting all Lions to actively engage in this vital service opportunity. As we look ahead,
