The National Weather Service in Dodge City is warning of the possibility of thunderstorms Friday night across western Kansas.
"Strong to marginally severe thunderstorms will be possible late this afternoon through tonight across west-central, southwest and portions of central Kansas," the NWS said in a hazardous weather outlook statement.
The strongest storms will be capable of producing up to quarter-size hail and winds gusting up to 60 mph.
There is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday, as well, withheavy rainfall possible.
