WICHITA – The Hays High boys wrestling team had three first place finishes and won the team title Saturday at the Bishop Carroll Invitational.

The Indians defeated the host Golden Eagles by 10 points. Salina Central finished third.

Elijah McCullough (14-1) was the champ at 113. He defeated Gavin Munoz of Maize South with a 6-5 decision in the title match. Harley Zimmerman (15-0) won by fall over Winfield’s Zane Swinford to win at 144 and Dalton Meyers (15-0) picked up a 4-0 decision over Mencali En of Wichita West at 190.

Will Linenberger lost 13-6 to Dawson Rodd of Andover Central and finished second at 285.
