GOVE COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just after 9a.m. Tuesday in Gove County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2018 Chevy Cruz driven by Luis Mario Gonzalez Perez, 17, Great Bend, was westbound on Interstate 70 one mile east of Oakley. The car traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a road closure sign.
EMS transported a passenger Marissa Ann Esparza , 18, Great Bend to the Logan County Hospital. The driver was not injured. Both were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
