Below normal temperatures Friday will give way to a more pleasant weekend, the National Weather Service in Dodge City reported.
The high Friday is not expected to get above the freezing mark, with sustained northwest winds of 11 to 14 mph. The overnight low will drop to the mid- to upper-teens.
On Saturday, the high is expected to rise to 41, and then jump to the mid-50s Sunday through Wednesday. Thanksgiving Day is predicted to be colder, with a high in the low-40s, the NWS said.
Skies are expected to remain clear through Turkey Day, forecasters predicted.
