The Hays USD school board and its teachers have agreed to eliminate early release days in the district per its tentative agreement with teachers approved by the board on Monday.
The teachers have negotiated six in-service days instead of the early release days. This means there will be one in-service day each month.
All of the in-service days will be on Mondays.
Wilson said he hoped this calendar will be easier for families.
The school calendar, which includes the teachers' in-service days is below.
The board also approved its meeting schedule for the upcoming fiscal year, which starts in July.
The board voted to change three of the meetings into work sessions at which no action will be taken.
The work session dates will be Oct. 23, Jan. 22 and March 25, all at 6:30 p.m. at the Rockwell Administration Center.
