The Fort Hays State University 2022-2023 Department of Economics, Finance, and Accounting named its three annual student award winners during a graduation celebration dinner on May 2. Students graduating in the 2022-2023 academic year were eligible for the awards, and faculty from each discipline selected the award recipients.
Brett Loving, an accounting major from Wichita, was named the Accounting Student of the Year. The Finance Student of the Year Award recipient was Ethan Lang, a finance major from Hays. The 2022-2023 International Business and Economics Student of the Year Award recipient was Tevfik Ali Buğra Kara. Kara lives in Istanbul, Turkey, and completed his degree entirely online.
