KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Fort Hays State men's wrestling's Connor Padgett was named second team All-MIAA at 174 pounds, announced Wednesday (Feb. 26) by the league office.
The redshirt-freshman is tied for the team lead with 16 wins on the year, posting a 16-13 record. Padgett was 4-1 in conference duals, including one technical fall victory and three decisions.
He is also tied for the team lead with 10 bonus point wins while leading all Tigers with five technical falls on the year.
Padgett and his Tiger teammates will next enter the postseason when they travel to Gunnison, Colo. for the Super Region VI Championships on Saturday. Action is set to begin at 11 a.m. (10 a.m. MT).
