Richard “Rick” Anthony Stefan was born Oct. 8, 1956, in Quinter, the son of the late Marcus R. and Genevieve M. (Zimmerman) Stefan. He died Wednesday, June 9, 2021.

 Rick was employed with UPS for 30 years and retired in 2011.  He was a businessman with many interests.  While employed with UPS, he owned M & S Auto Sales, farmed and raised cattle.  After his retirement, farming and ranching became a very important part of his life. 

One of his many pleasures in life was enjoying his morning coffee with friends before starting his day. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law, Kiel D. McKenrick, and sister-in-law, Cheryl Stefan.

He is survived by siblings Gilbert Stefan of Emporia; Harold Stefan of Marion; Darrold Stefan and wife Colleen of Pinedale, Wyo.; Bernard “Bernie” Stefan and wife, Diane, of Goodland; Leana McKenrick of Longview, Texas; Mary Svoboda and husband, Terry, of Newton; Robert Stefan of Marion; Mark Stefan of Calhan, Colo., and Anita Svoboda and husband Steven of Lincolnville. Nephews and nieces, Ryan, Derek, Shellee, Eric, Jeremy, Megan, Kyle, Raynel, Erica, Emily, Adam, James, Miranda, Mallory, Makaela, Abigail, and Cody, and 14 great-nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday, June 17 at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Park, Kan. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
