Phillipsburg resident Riley W. Leidig passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021, at the Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, NE.  He was 77.

He was born December 9, 1943, in Norton, KS the son of Clifford W. and Hazel I. (AraSmith) Leidig.

Riley was united in marriage to Bonnie M. Brooks on February 1, 1969, in Norton, KS.  She survives.

Other survivors include his sons Darryl and Donald; a daughter Angela Babcock all of Phillipsburg; two brothers Darryl E. of Hesston, KS and Douglas of Amarillo, TX; two sisters Nancy Sheldon of Douglass, KS and Lucinda Smith of Udall, KS; and 10 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Wesleyan Church in Phillipsburg with Pastor’s Randy Garner and Darrell Schmid officiating.  The services will be streamed live on the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel Facebook page.  Burial will follow in the Iowa Union Cemetery, Phillips County.

Riley will lie in state from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at the Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 2nd Street, Phillipsburg, KS 67661.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wesleyan Church or Gideon International.
