Doris M. Werth of Victoria, age 80, died Sunday, June 20, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Olathe, Kansas. She was born September 20, 1940, in Hays, Kansas, to Servilian and Theresa (Brungardt) Hammerschmidt.  She married Kenneth L. “Kenny” Werth on May 28, 1960.  He preceded her in death on July 20, 2013. 

She was a homemaker and worked 20 years at Travenol Labs. in Hays.  She was a member of The Basilica of St. Fidelis and the St. Fidelis Daughters of Isabella both of Victoria.  She grew up in Victoria and was a 1958 graduate of Victoria High School.  She enjoyed reading, game shows, word puzzles, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Vicky Gonzales, Russell, KS; Judy VonFeldt and husband, Dale, Olathe, KS; five grandchildren, Randa Ehrlich and fiancé Dave Cooksey; Nathaniel Rollett and wife Sarah; Ross Gonzales and fiancé, Harley; Brianna Freeman and husband, Dakota;  Bailey VonFeldt; 17 great grandchildren; her brother, Dennis Hammerschmidt and wife, Vicky, Manhattan, KS.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law, Julian Gonzales; grandson, Ricky Gonzales; and great grandson, Brody Ehrlich.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 25, 2021, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis, Victoria, Kansas with Father Gale Hammerschmidt officiating.  Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.

A vigil service and a Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary, 412 Main Street, Victoria, Kansas 67671.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Thursday, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Friday, at The Basilica of St. Fidelis Victoria.

The family suggests memorials to: Sisters of Survivorship, made payable to the organization in care of Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary Victoria.
