KDHE: 7 COVID cases, additional death in Ellis Co. since Friday

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday reported seven new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Friday.

KDHE also reported an additional coronavirus-related death of an Ellis County resident, raising the toll to 80.

As of Monday morning, there were 21 COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed, including nine active cases and 12 recovering cases.

The Kansas Hospital Organization reported last week that 54 percent of eligible Ellis County residents (5 and older) are fully vaccinated. 

Since reporting began, there have been 7,085 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 80 coronavirus-related deaths.
