Another three inches of snow fell in Hays throughout the day Tuesday, according to the official report from the K-State Agricultural Research Center.
Combined with Monday's snowfall, the two-day total was five inches of snow, with 0.23 inches of moisture.
Hays has received 0.81 of moisture for the year and 19 inches of snow to date.
Monday's high was -1 degree with the overnight low dipping to -5 degrees, a new record low, according to the ag research center. A cold weather warning issued by the National Weather Service remains in effect through noon Thursday.
The forecast calls for warming temperatures with highs in the low 40s on Saturday and near 60 on Sunday.
