THOMAS COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just before 10p.m. Tuesday in Thomas County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1994 GMC Sierra driven by Jesse Jacoby Coon, 21, Oakley, was eastbound on U.S. 24. approximately two miles East of Kansas 25 Highway. The pickup traveled off the road, entered the north ditch, continued northeast through the ditch and into a pasture where it came to rest against a fence.
EMS transported Coon and a passenger, 10-month-old Lucas Leo Craig Coon to Citizens Medical Center. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
