Mary Ellen Stoppel of Wilson, Kansas passed away April 7, 2022, in 
Dalhart, Texas, at the age of 88. She was born in Hays, KS to Michael 
&amp; Gertrude (Baumrucker) Jacobs. 
 Mary Ellen resided in Wilson, KS where she taught school In the area
 for 36 years. She was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, D of
 I, Delta Kappa Gamma &amp; served on several community boards.
 She is preceded in death by her parents &amp; her husband Paul Stoppel. 
 She is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Tim) Zielke &amp; Brenda 
(Steve) Hadley, her sister Alice Marie (Everett) Schrant, grandchildren 
Chris (Kacie) Sara (Henry) Brandon (Nicole), Bryant (Chelsea) Bruce 
(Trish), great grandchildren Dorman, Kady, Ryan, Michael, Johnathan, 
Elias, Harper, River and numerous nieces and nephews.
 Parish Vigil will be held at 9:30 am, April 12, 2022, and the Mass of
 Christian Burial will be at 10:30 am both at St. Wenceslaus Church. 
Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Visitation on Monday from 2:00 pm
 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
 In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Wenceslaus Church 
or Wilson Sr. Center and may be sent in care of Plumer Overlease Funeral
