The National Weather Service in Dodge City reports fog, heat and the possibility of severe storms in Friday’s forecast, with strong storms possible overnight.

Severe storms are possible in the late evening, including parts of Ellis County. The greatest risk for strong storms is around midnight in Logan, Gove, Trego, Scott, Lane, Ness, Hodgeman and Gray counties.

Today’s high is expected to reach 92 with a low of 65 and a 20% chance of thunderstorms. Thunderstorm chances continue Saturday night and Sunday night, with both days forecast to be mostly sunny and highs in the 90s.
