MILFORD, Kan. – The Hays High girls finished third and the boys fifth at the Bob Schmoekel Cross Country Invitational at Milford Lake Saturday morning.

The Indians girls were led by sophomore Amelia Jaeger who finished ninth (21:18). Freshman Arely Maldonado placed 11th (21:26), freshman Brenlynn Albers was 12th (21:31) and sophomore Jaycine Watson 15th (22:15).

Manhattan’s Jenna Keely won the girls’ race with a time of 19:20.

The boys were led by Leo Hernandez who finished 14th (18:09).
