The Hays school board will meet at 5:30 tonight at the Rockwell Administration Center for a special meeting to discuss teachers’ contracts.
The negotiated contract includes $1,450 added to the base salary scale for the 2026-27 school year.
The teacher’s negotiated agreement also reduces the number of in-service days from six to four.
The board will also consider raises for classified staff, directors, other licensed personnel and administrators for the 2026-27 school year.
