McPHERSON - The Hays High boys and girls track and field teams both finished sixth at Thursday's McPherson Invitational.

Freshman Sydney Lewallen had the Indians only first place finish, taking the 400 meters with a time of 59.72. She finished third in the 800 (2:29.79). 

The girls' 4x800 relay comprised of Bekah Clark, Madelyn Wilkins, Serena Wilson and MacKenzie Karst also finished second (11:06.72). The 4x400 finished third (4:20.80).

Senior Cassidy Smith placed third in the discus (106-4).

The boys were paced by the 4x100 relay team which paced second with a time of 47:17. The team is comprised of Rhys Custer, Laken Pasek, Karsten Livesay and Keiston Evans-Grant.

Sophomore Bladyn Werth placed third in the 3200 meters(10:46.24).&nbsp; Sophomore Jaxon Prediger finished third in the javelin (141-11).
