HAYS – The TMP-Marian baseball team bounced back from their first losses of the season with a pair of 15-0 run-rule wins over Decatur Community Monday.
Caden Dinkel and Adler Brown combined on a 2-hitter in the opener that went only four innings. Ian Nehls had three hits and Connor Breit drove in three runs. The Monarchs (14-2) scored five in the first, three in the second then six in the third. The game ended when the plated a run in the fourth.
Austin Gilbert allowed only one hit over three innings in game two. Jacob Seib had two of TMP”s six hits. Easton Werth, Trevor Fabrizius and Derek Becker each drove in three runs. TMP scored four in the first, eight in the second and three in the third.
