David Lee Tammen

David Lee Tammen, 65, passed away March 1, 2022, at Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita. He was born on May 3, 1956, at Larned, to Charles & Jaunis (Bose) Tammen. He married Lynn Muth on February 14, 2013, in Great Bend.

A lifetime Albert and Great Bend area resident, David was a farmer and in the past several years has worked as delivery specialist for Harper Camperland. He also was previously employed at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility and Larned State Hospital. He was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Albert where he served as a Deacon and usher, as well as the Kansas Sidewinders Motorcycle Club. David loved riding his motorcycle and taking trips but his true passion was farming.

Survivors include his wife and companion since January 2009, Lynn Tammen of the home; a son, Michael Lee Tammen of Great Bend; two step daughters, Liston Marsh and husband Calvin of Glendale, Ariz. and Amber Maneth of Westminster, Colo.; and five grandchildren, Hailey Tammen, Riley Tammen, Dominic Marsh, Liberty Marsh and Deklin Marsh. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Mathew Aldrich Tammen; a daughter, Melissa Renee Tammen; a brother, Darren D. Tammen; and a sister, Mona G. Stos.

The family will greet friends at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the Kansas Sidewinders Motorcycle Clubhouse, 21 N Main St., Ellinwood, Kan. 67526. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church, South of Albert with Reverend Wayne Baldyga and Chuck Carpenter presiding. A Private Family Inurnment will be in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials have been designated to Kansas Sidewinders Motorcycle Club or Peace Lutheran Church, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
