SHERMAN COUNTY—A Kansas man was injured in an accident just before 7p.m. Wednesday in Sherman County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Peterbilt semi driven by Jason J. Spotanski, 48, Palmer, NE., was southbound on Kansas 27 seven miles north of Goodland
Due to blowing dust and low visibility, the semi struck a 2003 Dodge Ram driven by Norman Dee Kirby, 59, Goodland, head-on. Both vehicles came to rest in the east ditch.
EMS transported Kirby to the hospital in Goodland. Spotanski was not injured. Both driver were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
