Alys Virginia Wangari was born August 14, 2017, in Olathe, KS to Denis 
and Angela (Fortin) Wangari. She passed away January 30, 2022, in Denver,
 CO at the age of 4.
 Alys attended the Oberlin Preschool. She loved to dance, walk, drum,
 and sign and sing her ABCs. Most of all, she loved playing with her 
family. Alys will be remembered for how strong, smart, and sassy she was
 and her contagious beautiful smile. 
 Alys is survived by her father, Denis Wangari; mother, Angela Fortin
 Wangari; brother, Walter Wangari, all of Oberlin and grandparents: Jack
 K. and Donna V. Fortin and Lucy Kirubi.
 A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 2:00 
PM at the Gateway Event Center in Oberlin, KS.
