The Kansas Department of Health and Environment on Monday reported three new COVID-19 cases in Ellis County had been identified since Friday. However, the overall case count dropped by six after preliminary case counts were updated by the state on Friday.

As of Monday, the University of Kansas Health System reported five COVID-19 inpatients at HaysMed.
Since reporting began, there have been 3,773 cases of COVID-19 identified in Ellis County, including 73 coronavirus-related deaths.
