Thomas Leiker peacefully passed from this world on February 11, 2021, in Seattle WA. Tom was born on May 10, 1945, in Hays KS to Edward and Philippa (Pfannenstiel) Leiker.
He was a graduate of Hays High School. Six months after graduation on November 8, 1965, Tom became a proud Marine entering boot camp at MCRD in San Diego CA. He served in Phu bi Vietnam in 1967 and was honorably discharged at Marine Corp Air Station MCAS El Toro, CA on November 7, 1969. During Tom’s service in the Marines he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2*, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Marksman Medal.
After his discharge Tom worked in the oil and petroleum industry working in California, Idaho, and Washington state.
Tom married the love of his life, Su, on May 5, 1973. Sue preceded him in death on August 20, 2012. He is survived by his two sons Matthew (wife Lauren) Mukilteo, Washington and Shaun (wife Stacy) Sacramento, CA. He was the proud grandfather of five: Emily, Noah Thomas, Natalie, Collin Thomas, and Shaun Jr. He is also survived by his sister Doris Wing, Hays, brothers Norman, Lubbock TX, Glenn, and Terry Leiker, Hays. His brother Eldon proceeded him in death in 2017.
Tom has been cremated and his ashes will be spread in the beautiful wooded areas of Washington state and California where he spent so much time with his sons and grandchildren target shooting.
