Donations Needed to Help Bring HOPE to Local Cancer Patients
The Northwest Kansas Foundation for HOPE is once again spreading generosity and goodwill this holiday season with its annual 12 Days of HOPE Online Auction, taking place from December 1 to 12, 2025. The Foundation is currently seeking donations of items, services, or monetary contributions to help make this year’s event a success and continue providing vital support to local cancer patients.
Since its founding in 2009, the Northwest Kansas Foundation for HOPE has provided grants to individuals battling cancer across a nine-county region — Cheyenne, Decatur, Gove, Logan, Rawlins, Sheridan, Sherman, Thomas, and Wallace Counties. These funds help offset the numerous expenses associated with treatment, including fuel, lodging, medical bills, and medications.
Since 2010, the Foundation has awarded 829 grants totaling $731,700.00 — a testament to the generosity and compassion of Northwest Kansas communities and their ongoing commitment to helping their neighbors in need.
“Because of the incredible generosity of our community, we’ve been able to assist 67 cancer patients so far in 2025,” said Denni Rehmer, Grand Coordinator. “Every donation truly makes a difference — providing not only financial relief, but hope and encouragement to our friends, family, and neighbors fighting cancer.”
The 12 Days of HOPE Online Auction will feature a wide variety of items and experiences donated by individuals and businesses throughout Northwest Kansas. All proceeds will be directed at supporting cancer patients through the Foundation’s grant program.
How to Help
Community members and businesses are encouraged to:
· Donate auction items or services by November 1, 2025
· Make a monetary donation to help provide direct assistance to patients in need
· Bid in the online auction December 1–12 and help make a difference this holiday season

About the Northwest Kansas Foundation for HOPE The Northwest Kansas Foundation for HOPE (Helping Offset Patient Expenses) was founded in 2009 by a group of local women who sought to alleviate the financial burden for those facing cancer. The Foundation provides direct financial assistance to patients in Northwest Kansas for treatment-related expenses, enabling families to focus on healing rather than hardship.
