Hays Post Sports
Despite winning their last eight games, the Hays High girls basketball team drops a spot to No. 4 in the latest 5A ranking from the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association released Tuesday afternoon.
The Hays boys moved up four slots to No. 6.
The Victoria boys dropped three spots to No. 9 in 1A Division II. Wheatland-Grinnell debuts at No. 8.
Two Mid-Continent League girls teams remain ranked. Hoxie and Oakley both dropped a spot. The Indians are No. 3 and the Plainsmen No. 9 in Class 2A.
The Quinter girls are down a spot to No. 8 in 1A Division I, Dighton takes over the top spot in 1A Division II with Wheatland-Grinnell holding at No. 9.
