Ora Lee Folsom, 80, passed away on February 14, 2023, at Medicalodges in Great Bend, Kan. He was born on February 26, 1942, in Great Bend, Kan., to Clarence and Sara (Ware) Folsom. On January 19, 1967, he married Judy Barragree in La Crosse, Kansas. She survives.
A lifetime Great Bend resident, Ora spent many of his working years in home construction, along with time spent in the oil field and truck driving. He enjoyed wood working, particularly in cabinetry, working on cars, and general “tinkering”.
Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Lori (John) Vainer, Robin (Lee) Bretz, and Dena (Bradley) Wicks, all of Great Bend, Kan.; six grandchildren, Brodie Bretz, Braylin Bretz, Katlin Warner, Aron Vainer, Emma Phillips, and Gaven Folsom; and two great-grandchildren, Krew Mayhugh and Oliver Warner. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Robert Folsom; and a sister, Margaret Deckert.
Visitation will take place from Noon to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, with the family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Bryant Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, with Military Rites conducted by the United States Navy.
