
Linda June Beyer, 73, passed away February 6, 2022, at Wesley Towers Thorne Center, Hutchinson. She was born June 26, 1948, in Great Bend, KS, to Alvin and Irene (Gliessner) Holopirek.
Linda was a 1966 graduate of Otis Bison High School, Otis, KS, and a 1968 graduate of Salt City Business College, Hutchinson. She was employed as a receptionist at the State of Kansas Unemployment Division for over 30 years. Linda was active for many years, serving in various roles in Beta Sigma Phi. and a member of Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson.
Linda was an extremely active member of the V.F.W. Bob Campbell Post #1361 Ladies Auxiliary of Hutchinson, for 31 years, serving as district and local board member positions. You would often find Linda decorating the Post for every holiday, organizing party events and making sure the Post was in order.
Linda loved to go antiquing with her daughters, visiting with friends, adored playing and caring for her cats, gardening, and most importantly, loved the time she shared with her four grandchildren.
On August 1, 1970, she married James Albert Beyer in Timken, KS. They shared over 51 years of marriage.
Linda is survived by: her husband, James Beyer of Hutchinson; daughters, Leslie (Jordan) Hind of Gardner, KS, and Patty (Brian) Teufel of Goddard, KS; granddaughters, Katy Teufel, Ali Teufel, Juneau Hind, and River Hind; and brother, Perry (Karla) Holopirek of Great Bend, KS.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Terry Holopirek.
Memorial liturgy will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022, at Elliott Mortuary, with Father Aaron Spexarth officiating. Celebration of Life gathering will follow the service at the V.F.W., 328 N. Van Buren Street, Hutchinson. A private family burial will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Timken, KS. Friends may sign the book from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Elliott Mortuary.
