WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Reilly Madden and Sullivan Kelly Fort Hays State were named to the D2CCA Women's Soccer All-Central Region Team on Tuesday (Nov. 28). Both were second-team selections, Madden at defender and Kelly as a midfielder. Madden is now a two-time D2CCA All-Region selection, while Kelly earned the honor for the first time. The D2CCA All-Central Region team is voted on by athletic communications professionals from within the Central Region (MIAA, NSIC, and GAC).
Madden earned an all-region second-team selection at defender for the second-straight season. She is the first player in program history to be a two-time all-region selection after becoming the first in program history to be a four-time all-conference selection. Madden played all but nine minutes of the 2023 season and produced five points with a goal and three assists. Anchoring the Tigers defensively at center back, she helped FHSU to 33 shutouts over the past three seasons, including a school record 12 in each of the last two seasons. She finished her career with 6,516 minutes played, the second most in program history, and played the entirety of 56 matches over the last three seasons. She produced 14 points for her career at FHSU with three goals and eight assists, playing in 78 official matches. If the 2020-21 COVID season would have officially counted toward statistical records, Madden played in a total of 88 competitions in her time at FHSU over five years.
After receiving the second all-conference honor of her career this season, Kelly picked up her first all-region selection as a midfielder. She is still tied for the MIAA lead in assists this season as of this release with eight, while also scoring three goals. She ranked third on the team in points with 14 for the season. Kelly produced all eight of her assists in separate contests and twice had both a goal and an assist in a match this season. All three of her goals were game winners, which led the Tigers in that category. Kelly has a total of 24 points in her career with six goals and 12 assists over three seasons on the pitch.
