TOPEKA - The Hays High baseball team will be the No. 9 seed and play Hutchinson in their 5A regional opener Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Maize.
Maize South is the No. 1 seed and host school. They open with Salina Central. The two winners will play in the regional final later that same day.
HHS has won four of their last five and takes a 16-9 record into postseason play. They swept Salina Central to open the season but have not played either of the other two teams in the regional.
