Crisis response teams offering assistance in Plainville after youth death

PLAINVILLE—Crisis response counseling is being offered in Plainville today after the death of a local fifth-grader.

How the youth, Aiden Sherraden, died has not been released.

A caregiver meeting was last night.

Peer support groups will be offered today. This is a space for kids/teens to talk to and support one another.

Times will be 11 a.m. for children who will entering the fifth grade this fall. The noon meeting will be for elementary age children, and 1 p.m. will be for the junior and senior high students.

 Another group will be offered at 1 p.m. Sunday for any age young person who wants to come and talk again or misses today's sessions.

All the support group meetings will be at the gazebo in the park by the school.
