Perry J. Kippes, age 97, of Vincent, Kansas died Monday, November 22, 2021, at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Kansas.
He was born November 3, 1924, in Vincent, Kansas, to Peter C. and Pauline “Lena” (Schwartz) Kippes.
He was a farmer and spent his lifetime in the Vincent and Victoria Kansas area. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Vincent, Kansas and the Victoria Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree. He moved to St. John’s Health Care Center, Victoria, Kansas in 2005, then to St. John’s of Hays Care Center, then to Via Christi Village Care Center in Hays, Kansas.
Survivors include two brothers, Eugene Kippes, Hays, KS; Lloyd Kippes and wife, Benita, Edmond, OK.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Roy Kippes; two sisters, Pauline “Pearl” Leiker and Rita Pfeifer.
Services are 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays, 1919 East 22nd Street, Hays, Kansas 67601 with Father Harvey Dinkel O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Burial in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria, Kansas.
Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 10:30 A.M. at Cline’s-Keithley Mortuary of Hays.
The family suggests memorials payable to: St. Fidelis Cemetery Fund in care of the mortuary.
