Walter W. Herrman, 86, La Crosse, Kansas, died Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Rush County Memorial Hospital, La Crosse, Kansas.
Walter was born August 16, 1934, in Rush County, Kansas, the son of Frank and Florina (Sanders) Herrman. He was a lifelong resident of Rush County, Kansas. He worked for Flame Engineering Inc. from 1974 until his retirement in 1990.
On April 4, 1956, he married Virginia A. Penka at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas. She preceded him in death May 1, 2013.
Survivors include: his daughter, Carol Weis (John), Schoenchen, Kansas; and one grandson, Michael Scott Weis, Hays, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers, Balthasar “Balser/Bill” Herrman, Lavin Herrman, and Walter Herrman (age 2); and three sisters, Thelma Jacobs, Silverina Kreutzer, and Viola Kreutzer.
Because of the current challenges the world is facing at the present time, this is a private, immediate family only, graveside service and interment, with no visitation.
