NEW ORLEANS - The Fort Hays State track and field teams are once again listed in the top 25 of this week's USTFCCCA NCAA Division II Indoor National Rating Index, released Tuesday (Feb. 16). Both squads were listed 23rd this week, with the men totaling 31.3 points and the women accumulating 30.18 points.

The women's team has 11 marks ranked in the top 30 in the country, including two in the top 10. Alexandra Hart now sits in first place nationally after breaking her own school record in the high jump last week, clearing the 5-10.5 bar. Mattie Rossi also posted a new mark this week, climbing to 22nd in the country in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.88.

The men's team is receiving points from 14 different marks ranked in the top 30 nationally, including five that were posted last week at the Ichabod Invitational. Ryan Stanley moved up to seventh in the pole vault after soaring over the 16-8.75 bar while teammate Jacob Clark jumped to 10th after clearing the 16-0 bar. Two other jumpers leapt into the top 30 Saturday, including Dayton Williams in the high jump (6-7.5, 28th nationally) and Xavier Robinson in the triple jump (47-10.75). FHSU ran the 13th-fastest 4x400m relay this weekend, posting a time of 3:17.29.

The men's team held steady in the central region rankings at No. 8 while the women are now ranked No. 9 in the region.

Neither team moved at all in the conference ranks, with the women holding strong at No. 5 and the men remaining at No. 6 in the MIAA.

The Tigers will wrap up the regular season Friday (Feb. 19) at the Loper Tune-Up in Kearney, Neb. before competing in the MIAA Indoor Championships at the end of the month (Feb. 27-28).
