Linda Graves, age 75

Linda Kay Graves, 75, passed away peacefully May 14, 2024, at Ellsworth County Medical Center, Ellsworth, Kan. She was born on September 11, 1948, in Denver, Colo, to Orie and Lois (Eller) Graves.

Linda, a long-time resident of Great Bend, had been an employee of the Department of Corrections, working in Larned, San Antonio, Wichita and most recently at the Ellsworth Correctional Facility in the greenhouse. With a well-rounded career life, she also enjoyed her time as a truck driver in the oilfield and bartending at the Derrick Inn in Ness City. Linda never passed up the opportunity to travel, especially to Mexico, and share time, memories and good food with family and close friends.

Survivors include her children; Travis Herrman (Kim) of McCook, Neb., Kimberly Becker (Dwayne) of Great Bend, and Aubrey Nuss (Todd) of Sterling, Kan.; sister, Mary Jackson of Great Bend; brother, Bill Graves (Carolyn) of Ellsworth; and 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Linda Graves; and brother-in-law, LW “Butch” Jackson.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Kimberly Becker presiding. Inurnment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg, Kan.
