HAYS, Kan. - Dan Makuna scored 18 points, Kyle Grill added 13 and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds and Juju Ramirez came off the bench to add 10 points to lead Fort Hays State to a 92-44 win over Manhattan Christian on Saturday afternoon at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
The Tigers moved to 5-1 overall with the win, their largest of the season. It's also the most points they've scored and fewest they've allowed this season.
Fort Hays State never trailed, scoring the game's first 10 points. They pushed the lead past 20 points at the 11:18 mark of the first half when Kyle Gill hit a 3-point field goal. FHSU lead by 27 (52-25) at the half, their largest halftime lead of the season.
The Tigers held MCC (5-2) scoreless for nearly six minutes to start the second half and eventually led by 52 points after a Tegan Curley basket with just over three minutes remaining.
All 13 Tigers that suited for the game played and scored. Lucas Hammeke dished out four assists and Muhamed Kante recorded four steals. The Tigers outshot the Thunder 55.9 percent overall to 28 percent. FHSU had 18 more rebounds had just nine turnovers compared to 23 for MCC.

Fort Hays State begins MIAA play next week on Thursday evening (Dec. 4) at Central Missouri. The trip will continue with a game at nationally ranked Washburn on Saturday (Dec. 6).
