RUSSELL COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 11a.m. Wednesday in Russell County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2002 Toyota Camry driven by Thomas A. Nelson, 59, Lagrange, IL., was on the off ramp from eastbound Interstate 70 at U.S. 281.
The driver failed to yield at the stop sign at U.S. 281 and struck a northbound 2022 Toyota Tacoma driven by Gregory Grant Carey, 51, Russell.
Nelson and Carey were transported to the hospital in Russell for treatment. Both were properly restrained according to the KHP.
