Donna Lee Luft, age 84, of Bison, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 1, 2026 at Locust Grove Village in La Crosse. She was born February 26, 1942 in La Crosse to Henry and Helen (Appel) Schneider.
Donna graduated from La Crosse High School in 1960. She married Hilary Luft in Larned, Kansas on October 31, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2022.
Donna was a Bank Teller at Otis State Bank and a long-time administrative assistant for BOC Helium now called Messer. Donna enjoyed taking care of her lawn and flower gardens. She was a talented floral arranger with an artistic gift as well as being a fantastic cook. She was a member of the Otis Trinity Lutheran Church serving many capacities including being a long time treasurer for them.
Survivors include her son, Richard Luft and wife Laura of La Crosse; her daughter, Lori Richter and husband Mike of Goddard, Kansas and their children, Cody and Cameron of Wichita and Taylor of La Crosse.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Eldon and Larry Schneider and a sister, Emma Curnett.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, August 7, 2026 at the First Lutheran Church in La Crosse.
Private family inurnment at a later date.
